The Center of Attention

center part

Center parts have always befuddled me. I've always wanted to pull off a center part; I've just never been sure how. The ladies on the red carpet are always sporting center parts. So, I thought they're must be some catch. Turns out it doesn't matter what kind of hair you have, it's your face shape. Parting your hair down the center open ups, emphasizes the symmetry,  and elongates your face. Oval, square, and round faces are perfect for pulling of center parts. While, if you have a bigger nose, center parts aren't your best bet. So if you're feeling like trying out a new style this winter break here's how! Using a fine tooth tail comb part your hair down the center. Next, either straighten, curl, scrunch, or add waves to your hair. If you're still on the fence about how it will look, go for loose, wavy curls. Make sure you add some wave to the hair right around your forehead, like the picture of Leighton Meester above (bottom left corner). It's really too easy!
